/// BIOGRAPHY ///
Torturess was formed in 2011 by James Bauman (of Racebannon & Medusa) and Jerel
Hall (of Wraith & Nettles). Riffs were born and amps were punished before Daniel
Schmidt (ex-City of Ships) was recruited to sit the drum throne. Songs were
finalized and recorded and one show was played. Then Daniel moved away the next
day....literally.
The search for a new drum god took the better part of a year, during which time
steps were being made to mix and master the debut album. From the shadows
came whispers of an impending drummer: Donovan Romine (formerly of Ox-Eye) took
possession of the kit in mid-2012 amidst converging artistic and logistical
plans.
Torturess emerged, axe in hand, September 2012 with the release of a 3-song demo
and a promise to rule and punish the innocent.
March 2013 found the band, once again, sans drummer following the split of Donovan
from the group. Months of searching for a new drum warrior finally brought forth the
only one true answer: Kyle Collins.
